How to get to Montserrat?
By Car
From Barcelona, take the A-2 towards Lleida, then exit 582A (Olesa, Montserrat, Manresa), take the C-55 to Monistrol de Montserrat and turn left onto the BP-1121, follow the indications to the Parking.
By Train, Cable Car (Aeri), Montserrat Rack Railway
From the FGC station called Barcelona Plaza España we must take the R-5 Barcelona-Manresa line, this line has a link with the Montserrat Cable Car (Aeri) and Cremallera (Rack Railway) stations. The journey takes 1 hour and the approximate price of a single ticket is € 5.75 one way, € 11.50 round trip.

By Bus
There are many companies that carry out 1-day tours from Barcelona to Montserrat, the cheapest and least touristy (only transport) is Julià coaches, they have a regular line from Monday to Sunday: from Barcelona-Sants (Estació autobusos C / Viriat) to the Montserrat Sanctuary, it leaves at 9:15 a.m. from Barcelona and returns at 5:00 p.m. in winter and 6:00 p.m. in summer. Where to park in Montserrat?

The Sanctuary area has a paid parking that has a price of € 6.50 per 24 hours.
It is a parking lot with limited places, so it is recommended to arrive early if you want to find a place. Especially on weekends and holidays.

Where to camp in Montserrat?
It is possible to camp in the “Area Esportiva i d’Acampada de Montserrat”, it is a very simple and cheap mini-camping (€ 3.5 per tent + € 4 per adult approximately) it is usually chosen by climbers
It is located 10 minutes from the Sanctuary in the direction of the “creu de Sant Miquel”, there is not much comfort, but the experience of camping in the place is worth it. The views from the camping area are spectacular.
It is only open during the summer months.
You will not find information on the internet about this “campsite”, which makes it more interesting as we are not met with crowds of tourists. The majority public are climbers.

Where to sleep with a motorhome or camper van in Montserrat?

In the Sanctuary Parking it is allowed to stay overnight for € 6.5 / 24h. It is recommended to park in the highest part once the crowds have left because it is flatter.
